The I2F Chart
The I2F Chart is the cycle-observation format offered by Happy Fertility, inspired by the methods taught by the Institut de Formation à la Fertilité (I2F). Founded in 2017 by Marion Vallet, a midwife, the institute trains healthcare professionals in cycle observation methods (MOC) — including the Billings method and the Sensiplan sympto-thermal method — around one conviction: ovulation is a vital sign, a marker of a woman's overall health, not just a fertility-tracking tool.
How it works
Like other cycle-observation methods, the I2F Chart is based on a daily log of your observations — mainly cervical mucus, optionally complemented by other signs depending on what you choose to track. Each day, you log what you observe in a few keywords, and the chart builds up over the cycle to help you spot your fertile and infertile phases.
Key points
- A simple daily chart, designed to be filled in in a few seconds.
- An approach led by a midwife trained in reference methods (Billings, Sensiplan), with a clinical view of cycle observation.
- An overall-health philosophy: ovulation as a marker of hormonal balance, not just a tool for contraception or conception.
- An approach the institute presents as independent from conflicts of interest with the pharmaceutical industry.
Who is it for?
The I2F Chart suits those who want a simple daily log, in the spirit of the cycle-observation methods taught to healthcare professionals.
And with Happy Fertility?
The app supports I2F Chart tracking: log your observations for the day in a few seconds and view your chart as a calendar.
